Taking Naps In The Airport: Here’s What You Need To Know

If you’ve ever had a long layover or got delayed in the airport, you know that getting rest during a tedious journey can be challenging. Nothing can replace the quiet comfort of your bed, but here are some tips to make your airport naps as safe and comfortable as possible. 

Make Sure You Have An Alarm

One of the stressful things about napping in the airport is the fear of missing your flight or an important announcement. Even if you have a five-hour layover and you’re pretty sure you’ll wake up in time for boarding, make sure to set an alarm clock just in case. 

Keep Your Belongings Close

It’s important to remember that the airport is a public space, so you need to make sure your belongings are safe while you sleep. Try putting your backpack under your head to use as a pillow or put your legs up on your suitcase. This way, you’re more likely to wake up if anyone meddles with your items. 

Use An Eye Mask

An eye mask won’t take up a lot of room in your bag but will make a world of difference when you’re trying to nap. Blocking out the light will help you relax and fall asleep faster.
