Tasmania is one of the world’s most beautiful islands, and you’ll be surrounded by natural wonders every step of the way if you ever decide to visit it. Some of those wonders happen to be beautiful waterfalls, and seeing these three will convince you to put Tasmanian on your bucket list right away.
Russell Falls
Tasmania’s most popular waterfall is one of the Mount Field National Park’s main attractions, and it takes about an hour from Hobart to reach it. On your way to this cascading waterfall, you’ll get to enjoy a walk through a lush rainforest, which will make your trip even more magical.
Liffey Falls
Liffey Falls is the perfect spot for true adventurers at heart road tripping-around Tasmania. It’s located in the country’s Midlands region, and you should be ready for a 45-minute walk down the Liffey Falls State Reserve trail, if you want to reach it on foot.
Nelson Falls
Another breathtaking Tasmanian cascade waterfall can be found about 30 minutes outside of Queenstown. It’s a great day-trip destination, since you’ll pass the Iron Brow Lookout and Lake Burbury on your way to the waterfall.
