The Aisle Vs. Window Debate Comes Down To One Thing

Aisle or Window?

Since airplanes were first invented, people have debated which seat is better—the aisle or the window. The thing is, there are so many pros and cons to both sides that it can be impossible to know which option is truly better. But right now, we’re going to focus on one aspect to this debate—the bathroom problem.

The Bathroom Issue

When you actually stop to think about it, it seems kind of hilarious that window seaters can only go to the bathroom if the aisle seater allows it. This gives the person in the aisle seat a tremendous amount of power over the person in the window seat. This can be psychological torment in either case, but it really depends on what kind of person you are.

A Major Pickle

Yes, the person in the aisle has the upper hand here—but some people don’t want that kind of power and responsibility. Some people would have trouble falling asleep knowing that them being unconscious could be preventing someone from going to the bathroom. On the other hand, no one wants to be prevented from going to the bathroom either.

Personality Type

At the end of the day, it comes down to your personality. Are you okay with the idea of sleeping while someone else suffers, and it being your fault? If so, you might be an aisle seater. But if you’d rather swallow your pain and sleep comfortably knowing you have no responsibility, head over to that window seat and enjoy the view.
