The Benefits of the Window Seat On a Plane

This argument is one that has gone on since the Wright Brothers invented their first plane (okay, maybe not that early—but still pretty darn long). Which seat is better: the window or the aisle seat? We can obviously assume that no one in their right mind actually prefers the middle seat (and if they did, we’d have some questions for that person). But we digress… the aisle and window both have their awesome benefits, but right now it’s time to discuss what makes the window seat so great.

The Views

Perhaps the best selling point, by far, for the window seat, is the fact that the one who sits there is given access to the beautiful views out the window. So many people take the incredible views that can be seen out of a plane for granted, and they shouldn’t be taken lightly at all.

Sleeping Situation

When it comes to sleeping, the window is by far easier than the aisle. In the window seat, you can easily rest your head on the side of the plane, whereas the aisle provides no such option.

It’s funny because everyone talks about how much more room the aisle provides—but is that really the case? With the flight attendant’s cart constantly roaming back and forth, the “extra leg space” in the aisle space is definitely a facade.
