As the so-called Capital of the World, New York is brimming with interesting things you can see and do, but a lot of them also cost a lot of money. However, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t cool things that you can do for free, so here’s a short list of those magical New York moments that cost next to nothing!

Visit the Brooklyn Museum

With 560,000 square feet, the Brooklyn Museum is the third largest museum in NYC that hosts amazing permanent and temporary exhibitions. There are also free guided group tours every day, and you can find out more about them on their website.

Take a walk in Central Park

There are not enough words that will help us describe this huge amazing park in the middle of the concrete jungle called New York. You can enjoy your day alone or with company in its gorgeous gardens, small forests and meadows, without ever spending a dime. There’s also a zoo, playground fountains and even a castle.

Marvel at the Brooklyn Bridge

With its staggering 1,595 feet, it was once the longest bridge in the world. The Brooklyn Bridge connects lower Manhattan with Brooklyn Heights over the East River, and it’s an amazing site that you must see.
