The phenomenon called Aurora Borealis has captured the hearts of millions of tourists. If you are not lucky enough to live in one of the countries where this is an everyday thing, we have some great suggestions. These are the top spots where you can see the Northern Lights.

Norway

Opt for destinations such as Tromso, Harstad and Svalbard, and visit from October to March. During these months the chances are much higher you’ll see the lights because the night is longer.

Iceland

Iceland is the best country for nature lovers. If you’re dying to witness the Aurora Borealis, go in the period from September to April. Some of the top spots are Djupavik, Vik, Seltjarnarnes and more.

Canada

If you travel to the Northern parts of Canada during August and April, the chances are that you’ll see the stunning Aurora Borealis. This is another country where untouched nature is what you’ll be admiring the most.

Alaska

Alaska is one of the best countries if you’re looking for a spot to see the Northern Lights. The weather is, of course, cold, but you’ll enjoy an experience like no other. Fairbanks is one of the top locations, although almost every place in the state will do the job. Winter months are usually the best time.
