Stalheim Waterfall in southern Norway is considered one of the must-see sights in the country. The waterfall is located in the village of Stalheim. On the other side of the road to the north is another amazing waterfall—Sivlefossen.

The two waterfalls are located in the Nærøydalen Valley, which serves as an access point to the two fjords of Fjorda Sogna—Narefjord and Aurlandsfjorden. The two fjords are included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of the unique fjord landscape of western Norway.

The most common way to reach the waterfalls is via the Stalheimroad. The road is winding and one-way, so driving is only allowed downhill, and there is a great chance you will not find the perfect vantage point to snap a photo.

You can also enjoy the waterfalls in other ways—like cycling or hiking.

The waterfall is beautiful all-year-round, and there is no recommended season to visit it, but it is best to visit it in June-July when snow is melting and the volume of water grows.
