You may have heard that when it comes to cities in America, San Francisco is one of the most popular places to go visit. Located in Northern California, the city is a beacon of history and culture, but if you didn’t know that much about it, you might wonder why it’s so popular. After all, it’s hardly as famous as bigger cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, or Chicago. So what is it about San Francisco that continues to draw people in? Here’s why it’s such a cultural hub.

The Architecture and Infrastructure

We don’t like to generalize, and we’d hate to do that here. After all, there are many reasons that San Francisco is such a wonderful city. But we won’t even talk about its history and cultural relevance right now. If you ask us what makes it such a destination, we believe the main thing is its architecture and infrastructure.

Put plainly, walking around the city of San Francisco is just so different than walking around most other places in the world. The hills are relentless, almost to an organizational degree. The buildings are built in such a uniform pattern that’s unlike anything in the world. They even have a European-like quality to them, but with an American grittiness and Nor-Cal colorfulness that truly make it something truly unique. Add to that the trolleys that are always hanging around, and you’ve got yourself a truly special city.
