It is hardly a surprise that Rome came out top in the international category. Italians are known for their food and the capital is filled with authentic little trattorias, and fine-dining restaurants with Michelin stars. Other global cities worth visiting for the culinary fare include the island of Crete in Greece, Hanoi in northern Vietnam, Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy, and the French capital, Paris.
Closer to home, New Orleans claimed the number one spot in the United States. Drawing on a food culture that is centuries old, the city boasts Cajun and Creole cuisine, and is famous for its seafood and steaks.
