Want to check out some of Leonardo Da Vinci’s most famous works during your visit to Italy? Then, make sure to include the following cities as your stops.

Florence

Leonardo DaVinci lived in Florence during his most productive period as an artist. But today, only three of his paintings can be found in the city. All three of them – The Annunciation, The Baptism of Christ, and The Adoration of the Magi – are housed in the Uffizi Gallery.

Milan

DaVinci also lived in Milan for a significant period of his life. His famous painting “Last Supper” is displayed in Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, while the city’s Pinacoteca Ambrosiana also has several of his works in its collection, including the unfinished painting “Portrait of a Musician” and the manuscript Codex Atlanticus. You can also see DaVinci’s wall and ceiling painting at Castello Sforzesco and check out his Codex Trivulzianus at the castle’s library.

Parma

Parma’s Galleria Nazionale houses one of the more intriguing DaVinci’s paintings: La Scapigliata. Painted on a small wood panel, the work is renowned for its beauty and mysterious nature. While widely attributed to DaVinci, there are some experts who believe the work was actually done by one of his pupils.
