Ancient Kourion
One of the things that Cyprus is most known for is its ruins, and this one is a must-see. The Kourion is a compound of ancient Greek and Roman ruins, situated right on a coastal cliff. It’s absolutely huge, with a theater, well-preserved ancient mosaics, and towering columns.
Nissi Beach
While Cyprus is absolutely covered in perfect beaches, this is its most famous one. Nissi beach is calm, with shallow areas perfect for children and families and crystal clear, turquoise waters that will make you feel like you’ve landed in paradise.
Petra tou Roumio
Is it a rock? Sure. But is it just a rock? Absolutely not. The Petra tou Roumio is absolutely legendary, known to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love herself. Could there be a more romantic geological formation to visit? Even if you didn’t know about its legend, you’d probably want to visit this sea stack anyway, as it’s in an absolutely perfect, picturesque area.
