If you are visiting New York City, one of the first tourist attractions you will probably visit is the iconic Empire State Building. And if you are already there, you should check out some other tourist attractions in the area. Here are the best ones.

Madison Square Garden

A short five-minute walk from Empire State Building down W 33rd Street will get you to Madison Square Garden. This is one of the most iconic sports and entertainment venues in the U.S. and is worth your time even if you are not a sports buff. The arena organizes daily tours during which you can check out the locker rooms of the NBA’s New York Knicks and the NHL’s New York Rangers, see all sorts of memorabilia, and much more.

Koreatown

One of the nearby tourist attractions you shouldn’t miss is Koreatown. The neighborhood is packed with restaurants offering delicious Korean food, shops selling items from Asia, bookstores, spa and massage centers, and a variety of other points of interest.

Central Park

While you’re at it, you might as well cross one major tourist attraction from your list and visit Central Park. The trip to get there might be a bit longer compared to other entries on the list, but it is well worth it. You can spend the entire day exploring the park’s grounds, take a short relaxing work, or sit on the bench and soak up nature.
