Venezuela is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world and some of the very best are safely tucked away inside the Canaima National Park. Here are three breathtaking waterfalls that you shouldn’t miss for the world if you ever find yourself in this national park.

Angel Falls

Angel Falls needs no special introduction because it’s Venezuela’s top tourist attraction and the world’s tallest uninterrupted waterfall at 979 meters. It drops over the edge of the Auyan-tepui mountain in an isolated jungle of the Canaima National Park, but its secluded location isn’t stopping it from being a huge hit with nature lovers from all around the world.

Kamá Waterfall

Located on the eastern side of the Canaima National Park, Kamá Waterfall will take your breath away with its dramatic cascades and deep plunge pool in the middle of the forest.

Jasper Creek

If you have a special place in your heart for cascading waterfalls, Jasper Creek will knock you off your feet. Its water flows over a smooth bedrock of mostly red and black jasper, giving this series of cascades a striking color. It’s also known by a local nickname Kako Parú aka Firestone Creek due to its vibrant shade.
