Brazil gave us more legendary soccer players than we can count, so it’s not surprising to see the history of this sport celebrated in this Latin American country. One of the best places that honor Brazil’s long-lasting love for this sport is São Paulo’s Soccer Museum.

This museum was built inside the Pacaembu Stadium, so it’s a must-see attraction for all fans of soccer visiting Brazil. During your visit, you can explore films, photographs, and interactive exhibits documenting the history of soccer, which will give you a better understanding of its importance for Brazil’s cultural expression.

São Paulo’s soccer Museum covers an area of 6,900 square meters and there are 15 rooms that you can explore during your visit. Each one offers unique stories that will allow you to delve into the history of this beloved sport in Brazil and the world at large.

After exploring the museum, you should also make sure to join a brief tour of the Pacaembu Stadium, which hosted the 1950 FIFA World Cup. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday between 10 am and 6 pm—just make sure you’re not there when the Pacaembu is hosting matches, because its doors will be closed to visitors.
