As you prepare for you long adventure to wherever it is you’re going in the world, you’re going to start wondering which things you should take with you. This is especially true when it comes to electronics, because in this day and age we’re practically inseparable from them. Here’s a basic guide to which electronics you should or shouldn’t take on your trip.
Laptop
If you plan on using your laptop on your travels for important things such as work, and if you’ll be staying at hotels, then it goes without saying that you should take your laptop. But if you’ll be on “vacation” and hitting up hostels where you’re valuables will be more vulnerable, then definitely keep that baby at home.
Phone
We only put this on the list because a phone is such a big part of our lives, but the answer is obvious, and requires no explanation. Take your phone.
Video Games
If you have a handheld device such as a tablet or Nintendo Switch, we highly advise to not take those on your trip. While your phone is important, taking an additional handheld device may be pushing it a little bit, especially since this trip will be a great opportunity for you to disconnect from electronics.
