If you can’t imagine visiting a city without enjoying its great outdoors, São Paulo won’t leave you disappointed. Beautiful parks and green spaces are scattered all around this Brazilian metropolis, and here are three that you should definitely check out during your visit.

Ibirapuera Park

One of São Paulo’s main landmarks, Ibirapuera covers a gigantic area of 158 hectares and it’s the most visited park in all of South America. It’s a green oasis in the heart of this bustling city, offering a wide range of recreational activities, popular events, and trade shows.

Villa-Lobos Park

Villa-Lobos Park isn’t as large and busy as Ibirapuera, but that doesn’t take away from its charm. It was built on the grounds of a former landfill, and it’s now home to around 37,000 trees, playgrounds, soccer fields, bike paths, several modern buildings, and an amphitheater.

Botanical Garden of São Paulo

No major city is complete without its own botanical garden, and it goes without saying that São Paulo has one in store. It covers 165 hectares in the Fontes do Ipiranga State Park, right next to São Paulo Zoo, and you can find a botanical museum, walking trails, and greenhouses with many endangered species on its grounds.
