3 Places in the Caribbean That Have European Vibes

Who doesn’t dream of a vacation in the Caribbean? The Caribbean is a unique region that’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It consists of the Caribbean Sea, its islands, and the coasts that surround them. Despite it being uniquely beautiful, there are some parts of it that remind us of places in Europe a lot. Here are our favorites.

St. Barts

St. Barts looks a lot like Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. You can enjoy the view of beautiful beaches, yachts, and designer stores. The St. Barts’ capital Gustavia is known for incredible restaurants with haute cuisine that includes seafood and other specialties.

Barbados

Bridgetown, capital of Barbados, will instantly remind you of England. The architecture of the city has Georgian, Victorian, and Jacobean influences. Also, horse racing is very popular on Barbados.

Martinique

If the thing you miss the most about Paris is your favorite boulangerie that sells the perfect pastry, Martinique has just what you need. The oldest bakery on the island is called Chez Surena and it serves baguettes, brioche, and other delicious French pastries. Nearby is the place where Napoléon Bonaparte’s first wife Joséphine was born.
