Thailand is a gorgeous and exotic country that has a lot to offer. The capital of Thailand, Bangkok, represents a bridge between modernity and tradition. Here are 3 places we’re sure you would enjoy visiting once you find yourself in Bangkok.

Wat Arun

Even though there are more than 31,000 temples in Thailand, Wat Arun stands out the most. Located near the Chao Phraya River, this temple with a 269-foot-tall prahng will leave you breathless. You can climb to the top and enjoy the stunning surrounding views, or you can admire its golden glow from the ground at night.

The Grand Palace

Designed in 1782, the year Bangkok became the capital of Thailand, the Grand Palace is home to the royal throne and the sacred Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Even though the royal family doesn’t live here anymore, the palace has kept its grandiose beauty and is still a very popular site for both locals and tourists.

Wat Pho

With 1360 marble inscriptions, Wat Pho was the first public center in Thailand that now has the largest Buddha. The gold-plated sculpture is 150-feet-long and occupies almost the entire space. The largest collection of images of the Buddha in Thailand can also be seen in Wat Pho.
