Panama City is home to countless amazing attractions, but none of them compares to Biomuseo. It’s a quirky, colorful, and enduring symbol of the country’s capital and here are three reasons why it deserves a spot on your travel itinerary if you’re visiting Panama.
Amazing Architecture
You don’t have to step inside Biomuseo to be wowed by it. The building was designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry, and it’s one of the best examples of modern architecture in all of Central America. From the outside, it looks like a bunch of colorful houses have been stacked on top of each other, but the real magic happens once you step in.
Amazing Collection
Biomuseo features a total of eight galleries, dedicated to exploring Panama’s natural heritage and its impact on global biodiversity. Its exhibits mostly focus on the human impact on the natural world, but you can also find an aquarium and a living sculpture called The Living Web on its premises.
Surrounding Attractions
You can turn your visit to Biomuseo into a fun day trip because there are many other amazing attractions in its close proximity. The botanical garden designed by Edwina von Gal is a sight to behold, and the nearby Causeway Islands are also worth the trip.
