The tall buildings on our planet are true engineering masterpieces. Sometimes it feels like you can touch the sky when you climb on top of a skyscraper and the views from up there are always breathtaking. So in the spirit of reaching for the sky, here’s a list of three skyscrapers that you can visit around the globe. 

Burj Khalifa, Dubai, UAE 

The tallest building on the planet since 2010, the Burj Khalifa took down the Taipei 101 from the number 1 spot on the 4th of January 2010, as the construction drew closer to finishing after 6 years. The tower has 160 floors and a two stories underground garage. 

Petronas Twin Towers 

The largest twin-towers in the world and former tallest building on the planet from 1998 to 2004, the Petronas Twin Towers are the landmark of Kuala Lumpur – the capital Of Malaysia. The towers have been the home of Petronas, the Malaysian oil company, ever since they moved inside in 1998 when the building was completed. 

Empire State Building 

One of the most memorable and known places in New York, the Empire State Building is the first building in the world to have more than 100 floors! It was the tallest building in the world in the 1930s and it was built in the Art Deco style. It was the tallest man-made structure from 1931 to 1967.
