Airport security can be an overwhelming topic for those of us who don’t travel very often. The list of what you can and can’t bring on a plane seems to be ever changing, and the rules become even more confusing when you’re traveling internationally. It’s important to watch what you say as you move through TSA and even more important to be careful what you bring. While you probably won’t be kicked off your flight for bringing any banned substances, you will save yourself time and money by making sure to leave them at home.

Magic 8 Balls

We know that this one probably isn’t a major concern for most of you, but should you ever find yourself heading to or from a toy convention, leave your 8 ball behind. The liquid inside measures more than the 3-ounce limit.

Certain Sporting Equipment

Anything that can be used as a weapon, including pieces like golf clubs and baseball bats, are not allowed in the cabin of the plane. Save yourself the hassle of trying to figure out what is and isn’t allowed by packing sports equipment in your checked luggage.

Cast Iron Cookware

As with sporting equipment, cast iron cookware is considered to be dangerous in that it can be used as a weapon. We don’t know why anyone would want to hit someone else over the head with a pan on a plane, but rules are rules.
