There are certain things that need to be handled if you haven’t done so yet, and here’s what they are.

Universal Adapter

If you haven’t gotten yourself a universal charging adapter, you’d better go ahead and do that. It works with every country’s outlets, and otherwise, you’ll arrive at your European destination to find that your phone and laptop that aren’t charged, and you won’t know where in Europe to buy one because your phone will be dead!

International Credit Card

You’re going to need to pay for things when you’re abroad, but not all debit or credit cards do so internationally. Make sure you check in with your bank and confirm that your cards have international capabilities—and if not, get one that does!

Translation App

No, we’re not talking about Google translate, although it is effective. We’re talking about certain apps that can actually “speak” for you in the intended language you want. It’s not as essential as the other two items on this list, but it’s certainly handy.
