Traveling can be exciting, and in an ideal world we’d all love to do it as much as possible. But there’s no getting around the fact that it’s pretty darn expensive. Luckily, if you’re someone who wants to be abroad as much as humanly possible, there are ways to cut down expenses. With these three tips for traveling on a budget, you’ll be able to extend your trip longer than you can imagine!

Hostels

When it comes to accommodation, hostels are the number one choice as far as being on a budget. They’re dirt cheap and much, much cheaper than hotels. Not only that, but super fun and great for meeting new people.

Eating In

Instead of eating out at restaurants every night, go to the supermarket and buy some local groceries. Believe us when we say that this will save you an incredible amount of money.

Choose Cheaper Places

As obvious as this sounds, don’t travel to places that are known for being expensive. European countries tend to fall on this list, while Southeast Asian countries are generally much cheaper. The good news is you’ll still get the adventure of a lifetime in the latter countries, so go there instead!
