In addition to being one of the best shows on TV right now, The Bear is also a heartwarming love letter to Chicago and its culinary scene. Several iconic dining spots were featured in this series over the course of two seasons, and here are five that you should visit ASAP.

Mr. Beef

The Bear probably wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for the iconic sandwich shop Mr. Beef. It served as one of the filming locations of the acclaimed series and its main source of inspiration.

Margie’s Candies

We’ve seen Sydney eat at countless different spots while searching for inspiration for The Bear’s Chaos Menu, but the legendary ice parlor Margie’s Candies was the sweetest of them all.

Kasama

Sydney also visited several restaurants in Chicago’s East Ukranian Village while trying to eat her way to inspiration, and the Filipino eatery Kasama made the cut.

Avec

Avec was also prominently featured on The Bear, and its founder and famous restauranteur Donnie Madia made a cameo while giving us a sneak peek inside his kitchen.

Ever

One of the most moving episodes of Season 2 saw Richie staging at a fictional fine dining restaurant, and the two Michelin-starred Ever run by Chef Chris Duffy served as a filming location.
