Where to Visit in Texas

Texas, the Lone Star state, is the second largest state in the U.S., boasting the Rio Grande, the river that forms the border with Mexico. With everything from deserts to pine forests, thriving arts and music scene, Texas is full of great vacation spots. Read on for some suggestions.

Austin, the capital of Texas, is alive with music all year round and hosts the LBJ Presidential Library, the Blanton Museum of Art, as well as cycling and Segway tours of the city.

Wimberley is also a creative place to visit, with plenty of art galleries, but many people visit especially to take in the Jacob’s Well Natural Area. Here you can explore the Jacob’s wellspring walk the nature trails, and appreciate the wildlife.


Spicewood is home to both musician Willie Nelson and the Spicewood Vineyards, a must-visit for wine-lovers. Swim at the beautiful Krause Springs, and ride the trails of the Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area.
