A Picture-Perfect Greek Island Which Hasn’t Lost Its Local Charm

If you are looking for a quiet and budget-friendly place to spend your holiday with your family or friends, look no further.

Just a short ferry ride away from the largest port of Athens, Greece’s capital city, there is a tiny island called Agistri, and it’s a gorgeous vacation spot if you want to feel like a part of the local community, even though you are a tourist.

The island is so small that you can go everywhere by foot or with a moped, and if you are a lover of up-hill adventures, you can rent a bicycle.

There are free camping sites next to the charming city center in Megalochori, which may not offer all standard commodities, but the untouched nature makes up for it.

The Aegean Sea is nothing short of breathtaking here, with water that is somehow blue, green and clear at the same time, alongside long and sandy beaches.

And the best part of all – the sunsets last for almost an hour.
