Part of going away involves choosing accommodation. Depending on where you’re headed, you may opt for a top-quality hotel or a little beach bungalow, but Airbnb now wants to give you even more options to make your vacation unique.

Since 2008, Airbnb has made it possible for people to rent out their homes to others, allowing guests to feel like they are staying in a home away from home. Over the last few years, the company also added experiences so you can enjoy your destination through local eyes.

Airbnb has now introduced new categories that will let vacationers search for unusual places to stay. Fancy spending a night in a traditional South Korean hanok or a rental that is 10,000 feet above sea level? Now you can search for just that using the new “Categories” feature.

“What we want to do with Airbnb Categories is help you discover places,” declared Airbnb CEO, Brian Chesky.

On the Categories page, users can find “New,” “Trending,” “Top of the World,” “Hanoks,” “Adapted,” and “Play.” The latter will produce rentals for game lovers, while “adapted” are places that have been specifically catered to wheelchair users.
