“Architectural Digest” Named This Aussie Jewel the Most Beautiful City in the World

Choosing the most beautiful city in the world sounds like a mission impossible, but that didn’t stop Architectural Digest from trying. They recently made a list of the 20 most stunning cities from all around the glove, and Adelaide, Australia emerged as their top choice.

Architectural Digest considered several factors when deciding what makes a city beautiful, including architecture, cultural treasures, historical relevance, and natural appeal. Their list includes destinations from all over the globe, featuring both hubs for contemporary architecture and historic cities that preserved their storied past.

Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, emerged as their No. 1 pick due to its Art Deco and Victorian architecture, in addition to offering beautiful beaches and sand dunes. They singled out Semaphore Beach as one of its top attractions, along with rolling hills lush with high-quality grapes that transformed it into one of Australia’s wine capitals.

Tallinn, Estonia took the No. 2 spot, followed by Portsmouth, Dominica in No. 3. This Caribbean city has also been named the most naturally beautiful city in the world due to its stunning beaches, coral reefs, and mangroves. The list also includes several leading tourist attractions from all around the world, including Singapore, Paris, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, and Barcelona.
