Bring a Change of Clothes
Needing to look good after a flight is no reason to suffer from sitting in anything less comfortable than sweatpants during the flight. So bring a change of clothes in your carry-on that doesn’t wrinkle easily and do a quick change in the bathroom at the gate when you land.

While you’re in that bathroom, you can make a big difference by applying some light makeup and running a brush through your hair. And our biggest pro tip? ]]>Don’t Make Plans
Okay, we know that sounds crazy. In fact, most travel tips tend to suggest the opposite. But let us make our case. We’re not saying that you shouldn’t make any plans at all. If there are certain things that you know you absolutely want to see or do at your destination, definitely plan ahead so you can make it happen. But we recommend having more unplanned time than planned time during your trip.
For example, on any given day, make a plan for one or two things at most, and leave the rest of the day free to wander, explore, and walk around. Why?
Because the best things that happen when you’re abroad are the ones you didn’t expect. Like taking a sandwich to a park and stumbling upon a carnival. Or paying a visit to the mall only to find out that said the mall has a zip line inside of it. Or walking to a club at night just to come across the liveliest, most fun bar in the city.
Are these experiences you want to have? Then there’s one way to do so. Don’t make plans. Seriously. Just try it once and you’ll see what we mean.

Sand dunes might not seem like much of a reason to get on a plane and fly to a foreign country, but that’s because you haven’t seen the Lithuanian sand dunes yet. They’re the tallest shifting ones in Europe and they’re so special that they’re even designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They can move up to 15 km per year and have covered entire villages in the pest.
The Forests
If you love nature, you’ll love Lithuania. It’s 40% covered by dense forests, home to Lithuania’s five national parks and unique flora and fauna like roe deer, wild boar, cute hedgehogs, mosses, wild berries, and even carnivorous plants!
The Cost
Even if it didn’t have that much to offer (which it does), there’s still no reason not to visit Lithuania as it’s just so dang cheap. Its capital, Vilnius, often ranks as one of the cheapest cities in Europe, with a pint of beer costing less than three euros.
