Wherever you are in the United States, the chances are that there is a holiday market nearby. But as you probably know, all holiday markets are not made the same. If you really want to get an unforgettable holiday experience, here are the ones you should visit this winter.

Union Square Holiday Market in New York City

New York City does holidays, especially Christmas, better than anyone else. This is why it isn’t a surprise that the city hosts one of the best holiday markets in the nation. Taking place from mid-November to December 24, NYC’s Union Square Market features more than 150 vendors and offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy beautiful decorations, admire arts and crafts, browse handmade gifts, and enjoy some amazing food.

Christkindlmarket in Chicago

Christkindlmarket is inspired by holiday markets in Germany and offers a unique experience. Visitors can treat themselves to fresh pretzels, bratwursts, and mulled wine while enjoying Christmas ornaments and listening to holiday tunes. The market takes place from December 1 until December 24 in three locations across Chicago – Daley Plaza, RiverEdge Park, and Gallagher Way – and features all sorts of special events and performances.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Philadelphia’s Christmas Village offers a full package. You can do your usual Christmas shopping at stalls featuring local and international vendors but also enjoy holiday festivities and plenty of additional attractions ranging from rides to high-end dining experiences.
