Istanbul, Turkey, is one of the most remarkable cities in the world. Situated on two continents, it is rich in history and culture and has an abundance of tourist attractions. As such, it is one of those destinations that you could visit time and time again and still have lots left to discover.

But let’s say you only have 24 hours to see what Istanbul is all about. In that case, here is how to spend them.

Head to Besiktas for a Filling Breakfast

Besiktas is a great place to start your day in Istanbul. The neighborhood is filled with cozy cafes and restaurants that serve delicious and filling breakfasts that will give you fuel for the rest of the day. Our recommendation is Peynir Ekmek or Cakmak Kahvalti Salonu.

Marvel at Dolmabahce Palace

Once you have finished your meal, make your way to the nearby Dolmabahce Palace. Situated on the Bosporus, this luxurious palace once served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. You can marvel at it from the outside or opt for a quick tour to see its stunning gardens.

Get a Baklava at Taksim Square and Glance at Galata Tower

Your next stop should be Taksim Square, the city’s largest square. It is a busy area filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes. While here, make sure to enter the dessert restaurant Faruk Gulluoglu and try the best baklava you ever had. Quickly glance at the Galata Tower and hop on the tram towards Sultanahmet neighborhood.

Visit Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace

As soon as you step off the tram, make your way to Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. These are two of Istanbul’s most famous landmarks and are in close proximity to each other, allowing you to check them both without wasting valuable time.

Shop at Grand Bazaar

A visit to Istanbul wouldn’t be complete without checking its Grand Bazaar. Here you can stock on clothes, jewelry, antiques, spices, and snacks, or simply explore its countless shops.

Have a Relaxing Night at Galataport

Finally, to finish your day on a high note, head to Istanbul’s waterfront known as Galataport. Offering highly-rated restaurants, brand-name shops, and art and culture attractions, it is perfect for a relaxing night.

The UK offers plenty of amazing places to hike and walk, from the flat fenlands in the South East of the country to the Highlands of Scotland in the North. One of the most stunning hiking trails is found in the South West, in the counties of Devon, Dorset, and Cornwall. The South West coast path offers over 600 miles of incredible trails, with the sea almost always in sight. Check out these three reasons to visit this incredible path.

Spot Some Marine Life

With species including dolphins, porpoises, and basking sharks making a comeback in UK waters, hiking sections of the coast path is a great way to potentially spot some marine life. Spring and autumn are particularly good times to visit, as this is when several species are migrating or breeding.

Enjoy An Active Break

Sections of the South West coast path are incredibly steep and offer plenty of ascents and descents. If you’re somebody who enjoys a certain amount of exercise and activity during a break, then this trail is a great option for you. Particularly steep sections are found around the north coast of Cornwall near the village of Boscastle, and around the southern Devon coast near the town of Salcombe.

Appreciate Stunning Views

Whether or not you’re blessed with blue skies and sunshine, the South West coast path offers some of the best views in Britain. There are plenty of wild, secluded rocky coves to enjoy exploring, as well as long stretches of sandy beaches. Combining swimming with hiking is always an option, although you will need to be aware that for the majority of coast path beaches, there is no lifeguard service in action.

Traveling can be one of life’s most enriching experiences. Doing it as part of a group travel tour can add dimensions of ease, camaraderie, and depth that solo journeys might lack. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a novice exploring the world for the first time, here are three compelling reasons why a group travel tour might be the perfect choice for you.

Stress-Free Planning

One of the biggest advantages of group travel tours is that they take the stress out of planning and logistics. Tours typically come with a pre-planned itinerary that includes transportation, accommodations, and sometimes even meals. This means you don’t have to worry about the details of booking hotels, figuring out local transportation systems, or scheduling daily activities.

Enhanced Safety and Security

Traveling in a group with an organized tour can provide a greater sense of security, especially where language barriers and cultural differences might pose challenges. Tour operators are adept at navigating local areas and can provide safety advice and support.

Opportunities for Social Connections

Group tours offer a social aspect that you simply can’t get when traveling alone. They provide an instant community of fellow travelers who share similar interests. This can be a great way to meet new people and even find travel buddies for future adventures.

Europe’s extensive and efficient rail network makes it one of the best places in the world to explore by train. From the chugging carriages that snake through the Alps to high-speed trains slicing through the French countryside, a European train ride has so much to offer. Here are a few tips on planning the ultimate train journey.

Choose Your Highlights

Start by deciding which European highlights you want to include in your trip. Are you drawn to the romantic landscapes of Italy, the historic sights of Germany, or the vibrant cultures of Spain? Your interests will dictate your route.

Map Your Route

Once you’ve chosen your key destinations, it’s time to map your route. Use rail planner apps or websites like Rail Europe to experiment with different journey sequences and find the most efficient path.

Choose the Right Rail Pass

For extensive travel, a rail pass like the Eurail Pass (for non-European residents) can give great flexibility and value. These passes allow unlimited travel on national networks across multiple countries.

Book in Advance

While spontaneous train trips are possible thanks to the frequency of service on major routes, booking key legs of your journey in advance can save money and secure seats on busier routes, especially for high-speed trains or overnight journeys.

If you and your friends are planning the ultimate vacation or backpacking adventure, then you have come to the eight place. Planning a trip, researching locations and activities, and pleasing everyone can be a hurdle. Luckily for you, we’ve compiled a short list of tips to make the planning experience exciting, fast, and easy!

Country’s Tourist Website

If you’re already set on your dream location, head to the country or state’s official website or instagram page, where you can find expert tips, recommendations, and suggestions for places to visit, things to do, and where to stay. Not only will this get you and your friends pumped for the trip, but will also give you valuable insight into the country’s allure, making the annoying planning part of the trip, a breeze.

Travel Blogs

Visit travel bloggers’ pages on Instagram for expert tips on visiting a certain place, the dos and don’ts, and how to save money while traveling. Speaking to friends or family who have visited these places is also a great way to get insight.

Book Tours

Head to websites such as Trip Advisor and book at least one exciting tour to add structure to your day! Booking lots of tours can add up price-wise, but if you book at least one or two, it will add structure to your day, making it easier to plan around the tour. Tour prices are usually cheaper when booked in advance as well, and can fill up quickly when saved for the last minute. Tours will also allow you to meet people for further insight, and get recommendations from locals.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a city that requires a lot of time to explore. Considering all sorts of exciting sights and experiences, a short visit will only make you wonder about the things you might have missed.

However, if there is no other choice and you have only 24 hours in Dubai, here is how you should spend them.

Get Some Breakfast at Jumeirah Beach Residence’s The Walk

Jumeirah Beach Residence is a popular residential area in Dubai, and “The Walk” is its most famous tourist attraction. Taking a stroll down this 1-mile-long strip will allow you to enjoy some architectural wonders, explore some cool shops, and stumble upon great restaurants and food places where you can have a satisfying breakfast.

Head to Dubai Creek

Dubai Creek is a must-see place for everyone who visits Dubai for the first time. Once a harbor used for transport and trade, it has plenty of historical buildings and museums you can check out. Also, it is home to some of Dubai’s best souks, and traditional markets, so you can get some shopping done while you’re at it.

Go Shopping and Grab a Lunch at Dubai Mall

If you are looking for high-end brands, then Dubai Mall is a better option than souks. There are 1,200 shops inside, so you might want to be selective about which ones you visit if you don’t want to waste all your time in Dubai here. You can also grab lunch here in one of 120 restaurants and cafes.

Marvel at the Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is officially the world’s tallest building, so it is definitely worth checking out. Several other of Dubai’s top attractions are also nearby, like the Dubai Fountain and Dubai Opera.

Enjoy a Fun Night Out at WHITE

WHITE is widely considered the best nightclub in Dubai, so you can be assured that you will have a fun night out if you decide to visit it. The place has an exciting lineup of resident DJs and features performances from popular names in EDM.
