Check Out Whimsical Grocery Store Installation in Las Vegas, Nevada

Going to the grocery store is a necessary, but sometimes boring, experience. Not in Las Vegas, though. Visitors to Sin City are used to the bright lights of casinos and performances, but one particular grocery store has earned its place on the list.

Found at the AREA 15 arts complex is Omega Mart. With bright colors, music, and a fair amount of glitter, a trip to this installation resembles a psychedelic trip.

The idea comes from Meow Wolf, an arts and entertainment company in Santa Fe which has created other immersive experiences like the House of Eternal Return in New Mexico.

More than 300 artists have contributed to Omega Mart and the result is four unique spaces that are all certain to blow your mind.

As guests begin the journey, they will find themselves in a seemingly ordinary grocery store featuring products like an energy drink called Wake Up Please!, dehydrated water, emergency clams, and cans of tattoo chicken. Almost all are available to purchase as souvenirs.

The next area is named Dramcorp, after the fictionalized corporate entity behind Omega Mart, and includes a labyrinth-style maze. It is then onto the Factory, a playground where the unusual products are manufactured, and finally, the Projected Desert, which is an exploration through vibrant psychedelic realms.

The 20-minute experience costs $49 for adults, and $45 for children, seniors, and members of the military.
