If you like hiking, nature, or history, Scotland’s famous Isle of Skye is a location that you must add to your bucket list. Between its stunning scenery and its incredible ruins, there are adventures to be had around every corner. When you manage to make it over there, here are the things that we recommend you do.

Meet the Old Man of Storr

Found in the Trotternish region, the Old Man of Storr is a rock formation that is thought to be the thumb of a giant – or otherwise it was created by an ancient landslide. Whatever you choose to believe, it’s incredibly impressive and surrounded by a lush landscape well worth seeing, accessible by foot through a four-kilometer walk.

Visit Quiraing

Also in the Trotternish area, Quiraing is an area full of cliffs, peaks, and plateaus, with lakes adding to the area’s allure. It has plenty of trails for hikers to take in the incredible views, and perhaps the most popular viewpoint is at the top of Quiraing Mountain Pass.

Bathe in the Fairy Pools

The best 1-kilometer trek you’ll ever take will be to the fairy Pools near the village of Glenbrittle, full of streams, pools, and waterfalls as magical as the name would suggest. It’s cold, so only jump in if you’re brave and ready for a slap in the face from mother nature.
