Turtle Sanctuary is one of the most popular attractions of Curieuse Island and the main reason why so many tourists flock to its shores. Curieuse is known for being home to a colony of around 300 Aldabra giant tortoises and it’s one of the few places where you can see them roaming free.
Unique Landscapes
From mangrove forests to bare red earth, the landscapes of Curieuse Island are a sight to behold. This island also happens to be home to one of the world’s only natural forests of the Coco de Mer palm trees, known for its gigantic seed that can reach up to 17.6 kg.
