Deep Dive Dubai – The World’s Largest Diving Pool Is Open For Visitors

Dubai has recently added another name to its list of record-breaking attractions: Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving, featuring an “ abandoned sunken city” divers can explore.

The Deep Dive Dubai pool is filled with 3.6 million gallons (14 million liters) of water, the volume of six Olympic-sized swimming pools. With staggering depths of 196 feet (60 meters), it is at least four times larger than any other diving pool in the world. It was awarded the “deepest swimming pool for diving” title by Guinness World Records on June 27.

The apocalyptic sunken city evolves the deeper the divers go. The concept is that nature has slowly taken over this forgotten city, with homes, cars, shopfronts, and parks slowly deteriorating. Along the way, there are two diving habitats where divers can rest and chat. This is another feature that sets Deep Dive Dubai apart from its competitors—the rest stops consist of dry air spaces where divers can even remove their equipment, and get completely out of the water.

The facility caters to divers on all levels, from beginners to experts. There is also a comprehensive development program for those looking to up their skills. Deep Dive Dubai is open for reservations, with the public allowed to book snorkeling, free diving, and scuba diving experiences.
