Don’t Forget This When Traveling Somewhere Cold

Congratulations, you’ve made the decision to travel to a place that’s colder than you’ve ever been to. That’s a bold step and we commend you for it. We’re not even being sarcastic because while we do believe cold places are awesome, it’s not always easy for people to step outside of their comfort zones. However, packing for these places when you’re not used to it is easier said than done. You might think that you’ve packed everything important, but there’s one thing that you might be missing: earmuffs.

People always focus on the usual suspects when traveling somewhere cold: snow hats, gloves, coats, scarfs, thermals, thick socks, boots, you name it. These are all common things to bring, but it’s easy to forget something like earmuffs. They tend to get lost in the shuffle and they totally shouldn’t.

People who live in freezing cold climates are well aware of how painful their ears can get when they lack earmuffs. On days that are particularly cold, earmuffs are a must if you’re leaving the house. So make sure to bring some along if you’re going to somewhere like Iceland, Alaska, Norway, or anywhere with absurdly low temperatures.
