Seattle is a large, beautiful city with lots of things to do for people of all ages. If you find yourself there with your family, you may be wondering what attractions will be kid-friendly while also having some educational value so your kids come home having learned something as well as having had fun. Here are some educational places you can take children in the city.

Pacific Science Center

The Pacific Science Center is perfect for older kids who are curious about the world around them, or generally interested in STEM. In addition to hands-on and virtual science exhibits, it has an iMax theatre and a musical laser light show! Currently, tickets are available for the “Hockey: Faster Than Ever” exhibit, which is perfect for science and sports fans alike.

Wings Over Washington

This show is an experience for all five senses! It’s a virtual tour of the best and most interesting parts of Washington State, and will give your kids a chance to see natural and manmade local wonders that will keep them enraptured for the duration of the show.

Seattle Aquarium

If you’re not from the Pacific Northwest, then the Seattle Aquarium will be a unique educational experience for your kids. This aquarium focuses entirely on aquatic life from the Pacific Northwest, meaning it’s a must-see if your kids love animals or science.
