Alaska, Canada, and Iceland are usually the first places one thinks of when someone mentions glaciers, but what about Patagonia? This region of Argentina and Chile is a heaven for nature lovers, and glacier Perito Moreno is one of its most breathtaking wonders.
This stunning glacier is the top attraction of the Los Glaciares National Park and the Argentinian Patagonia in general. Due to its huge popularity, there are many tours organized by local agencies in the nearby city of El Calafate in the Santa Cruz province.

Perito Moreno can also be accessed by bus or car, and it’s recommended to visit it from October to April, when the weather in this area is mild. It can take a couple of hours to explore the glacier, so it’s always a good idea to get there in the morning and dress up in layers.
What makes Perito Moreno so fascinating is the fact it’s still around and thriving despite high temperatures and frequent raptures.

If walking around the glacier and admiring its beauty isn’t enough for you, you can join one of the extremely popular boat and trekking tours.
