Traveling to Berlin, the capital city of Germany, can be a bit pricey but that shouldn’t stop you from visiting this charming and unique destination. If you’re traveling on a budget and want to save some money on your trip, here are a few fun things that you can do in Berlin without spending a cent.

East Side Gallery

This 4,318-feet long remnant of the Berlin Wall is now the largest open-air gallery in the world and one of the most iconic landmarks in Berlin. Here you can see more than 100 murals painted by artists from all over the world, and needless to say that enjoying this incredible artwork is completely free.

Visit  Museums For Free

The capital of Germany is rich with culture and history and therefore visiting at least some of the staggering 175 museums is a must for tourists. Entry fees for museums can be a little steep but there are a few that you can visit for free, such as Anti-War Museum and the German-Russian Museum. Also, make sure to do a little research because a lot of museums in Berlin offer free entry once a week or once a month.

Visit Flea Markets

Reserve one Sunday morning for strolling through some of the iconic Berlin flea markets where you can find cheap and unique items, talk with locals and enrich your travel experience.
