Hotels have become pretty antiquated in the era of Airbnb, but a lot of people still enjoy staying in them. Booking a hotel room means that you’ll always have someone to clean after you, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should leave a huge mess behind. If you like to leave things neat before checking out, here are a few things you should keep in mind about making your hotel bed.

Little Messy

Even if you’re considering making your bed before leaving the hotel room, you should never leave it as neat as you found it. After you’re done making it, it should still be obvious that someone used it before leaving.

The tricky thing about making your bed too neatly is that the hotel staff may think it hasn’t been used. If you leave your bed unmade, at least they’ll know that the sheets should be changed.

Strip Your Bed

If you want to leave your room as neat as possible and avoid putting too much pressure on the cleaning staff, the best thing you can do is strip your bed. Pile the sheets together with your dirty towels and leave them in a visible place so they can see them while cleaning the room.
