It’s true: some travel blogs are incredibly successful and change the blogger’s entire life, allowing them to quit their job and travel full-time. But this only happens to the very lucky few, with most travel blogs having much less success. So don’t expect your new blog to be a runaway success, and certainly not right off the bat. You should only create it if you really love it, money or not.

While blogs used to own the internet, today social media is king. Blogs still have their place, but if you want anybody to find your website, you need to be promoting it on social media, too.
Be You
There are thousands of travel blogs out there, so if you want people to read yours, it needs to be unique. The good news is that it already is because it’s yours, nobody else’s, and you are a unique individual. So go ahead and show your personality. Lean into what makes you you and different.
