It’s always a good idea to keep an account of your travel experiences, as it means you have something to look back on and to jog your memory of your time. Travel journals are a simple way to do this, but if you want something more interesting and more visual, then consider a scrapbook. Here are some ideas for what to include in your travel scrapbook:

A Photo of the Day

Choose an image from each day that you feel best sums up the day’s activities, or just one you really like. You can stick this in with a few lines accompanying it with some background information.

Receipts and Tickets

Not only do these little scraps of paper give an account of where you were and what you did, but they’re also a little taste of the area and culture and a nice example of the written language.

Restaurant Menus

These show an authentic perspective of the local area, as well as jogging your memory for the various dishes and cuisines you tried.

A Drawing for People You Meet

Just do a little doodle for each person that you get to know. This will be a charming and personal way to remember people.
