Every traveler has a bucket list, or at least a vague one in their head. Some travelers have extremely long ones, while others have short ones that are more realistic to achieve. If your bucket list is on the longer side, we think it would be prudent to get down to the matter at hand. Is it really that important for you to finish your travel bucket list?

Don’t Fall For The Trend

There are so many reasons that traveling the world is an amazing thing, but unfortunately so many people do it for the wrong reasons. Some people get so caught up in the idea of traveling to as many places as possible—but why? Is it so they can immerse themselves into a beautiful culture? Or is it so they can show off to their Instagram followers all the different places they went, along with some Insta-worthy pictures to boot?

It can be a slippery slope once you get caught up in the travel hustle, because so many people really do miss the forest for the trees. So many travelers forget that less is more. In many cases, it’s a lot better to travel to one destination for a month than it is to hit up five different cities in a month. It’s about learning more about the place that you’re in, rather than rendering every destination a meaningless pitstop where you can take a beautiful picture to show your friends.

So, when it comes to your bucket list, remember that the most important thing is to focus on appreciating the places that you’re able to go—instead of dwelling on the missed opportunities.
