It’s Not Too Late For Your Perfect Greek Vacation

If someone tells you that the summer is almost over, and it’s getting a bit late for your vacation, prove them wrong by visiting these unusual beaches on the Greek coast.

Xi Beach, Kefalonia

Xi Beach is located on the Paliki Peninsula and it’s about 40 kilometers long. What makes it special, though, is the amazing color of the soft and gentle sand. Depending on how bright the sun is that day, the sand changes colors from bright orange to soft brown. Visit some of the many beach bars and order a cocktail to match the sand color of the day.

Papafragas Beach, Milos

Papafragas is actually a sea cave that was used as a pirate base in the past. The water in the cave is turquoise and crystal clear. Today, you can enter the cave only by swimming and on the other side of the cave you can find the archaeological site of the ancient city of Filakopi.

Red Beach, Santorini

This volcanic beach is red because of the high concentration of iron in the rocks and sand. The area is vulnerable to landslides and, as a result, some parts of the beach are forbidden to visit, but the parts you are allowed to visit are just as red and majestic as you can imagine.
