Have you always wanted to go on a hot-air balloon ride? Well now’s your chance! This spring and summer, hot-air balloon festivals are taking over the country allowing you to enjoy amazing views while soaring high up in the sky. And if you’re afraid of heights, don’t worry—you can watch professional fliers head up into the sky from a distance. Here are three hot-air balloon festivals to visit around the United States.

Homestead-Miami Balloon Festival

At this Homestead, Florida speedway, watch about two dozen anchored balloons light up the night sky. The event takes place from March 26-28 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with tickets starting at $25 per carload of people. At the event, book a tethered ride or reserve a private float. On the ground check out the local food vendors or enjoy a picnic.

Winthrop Balloon Roundup

From March 7-9 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., check out this free event which takes place in Winthrop, Washington. Watch professional fliers soar above the snowy peaks of the North Cascades and enjoy the cross-country ski and biking trails during the afternoon.

Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival

This weeklong event in Winchester, California, takes place from May 21-23, with tickets starting at $35 for adults and children under 13 are free. Hop on tethered or untethered rides and watch a balloon glow set to music. There will also be over 200 arts and craft vendors at the event.
