The old marketplace of Nice is one of the main places for the locals. Here you can find a variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as local art and craft. Don’t miss out on the flowers stand, which is absolutely astonishing.

Vieux Port

The old port of Nice, like its “big brother” in Marseille, is one of the most popular in Europe. Packed with restaurants and cafes, it is the perfect location to take a pause of your visit and just grab a drink or a good meal while looking at the Mediterranean Sea.


The best place to grab an ice cream in town. The famous ice cream shop offers no less than 94 different flavors. You can stick to the classic or try some innovative tastes like beer sorbet or avocado ice-cream.

Matisse’s House

If you are an art lover, you should definitely spare some time to visit this house museum, where the famous French artist Henri Matisse lived and worked in the 1920s and 1930s.
