Israel is a land with rich history and culture throughout the country. All three monotheistic religions have connections to the land. There’s an astonishing amount to see to gain insight into the history of the land and the people who inhabited it hundreds of years ago. With so much to see and do, we have nailed it down to a list of our top three must-see museums in Israel. 

Yad Vashem, Holocaust Center

Yad Vashem is the country’s official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. It is the second most visited tourist site in the country after the Western Wall. This 45-acre land consists of indoor and outdoor exhibitions. It is carefully designed to give visitors a narrative experience as they walk through the museum. Guests learn about the personal stories of the Jewish population, with diaries, letters, testimonials, and over two million recorded names of Holocaust victims. 

Design Museum, Holon 

Opened in 2010, this museum quickly became one of the world’s leading institutions for design and contemporary culture. The exhibition is divided into three themes; Israel design from the 1930s-2000s, contemporary work, and work created by up-and-coming local artists. 

MadaTech, Haifa 

This national institution is dedicated to science and technology, emphasizing making science fun and encouraging visitors to explore, discover and learn through play. With over 400,000 visitors a year who explore a hands-on experience with over 20 interactive science and technology exhibits to try.
