You’ve been counting down the days, hours, and minutes until your vacation begins, and it’s finally here! As exciting as it is, flying can also be a little anxiety-inducing. Make note of these hacks to ease the experience.

Pocket Power

Pockets are your best friends on travel day. Considering all the items you need to keep on hand (your passport, boarding pass, cellphone, wallet, sanity…) it helps to wear an outfit with pockets.

A Change of Clothes

A great way to save space (and avoid an extra fee for overweight luggage) is to place bulky items on your person. While it works well during check-in, the often uncomfy outfit is not that practical onboard the plane. Pack some comfortable clothes in your carry-on case that you can slip into mid-flight.

Split Suitcase

Losing one’s luggage is a nightmare scenario, but it does happen, unfortunately. There’s no way to keep an eye on your suitcase in transit, but there is a travel hack should the unthinkable occur. If you are traveling with someone for an extended period, pack half your clothes in their suitcase and vice versa. That way, if your luggage gets lost, you’ll still have some clothes with you.
