Emily showed us a lot of Paris, but there are so many more places to explore. The city of lights has a little something for everyone, with 20 arrondissements to choose from. Each one has its own feel and flavor, so decide what you’re after and follow the map.

Romance

It’s not called the city of love for nothing. Paris is decorated with cute little spots for lovers to swoon, particularly in the 18th arrondissement. Cobblestoned streets line Montemarte, which is famous for its artistic history. Take in the stunning views of the city and sip French hot chocolate at one of the colorful cafés.

Nightlife

The 9th arrondissement used to be considered a rather sweet part of town, but Pigalle has taken on new life. These days, the area is filled with clubs, cocktail bars, wine bars, and even cabarets. And there are also late-night places to eat once you’re done partying.

LGBTQ-Friendly

You will find dozens of rainbow flags as you walk down the streets of the 4th arrondissement. Known as the Gay Marais, it is an area in which members of the LGBTQ+ community can be themselves with pride. Take a stroll down Rue des Archives, Rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie, or Rue Rambuteau to see what we’re talking about.
