When we prepare for a long trip, we tend to get a bit anxious over all the things we need to pack. We start to grow paranoid about all the things we’re going to need on our trip, but this is unnecessary. The truth is that packing light is really the way to go when traveling abroad, and here’s why.
They’ve Got Everything You Need
While yes, every country is different, most destinations have everything you can think of. If you’re hungry, go enjoy some foreign cuisine. If you need a sweatshirt, go buy a local garment to warm you up. Heck, it’s not like they don’t have ATMs in foreign cities. So even if you forget something, chances are you’ll be able to get a new one wherever you go.
You Won’t Have Much Downtime
You might be thinking about bringing your book, or your laptop, or your lunchbox (just kidding). But the fact of the matter is, you’re never going to actually use these things when you’re having the time of your life in a foreign country. You’ll be too busy meeting new people, seeing new towns, and trying new foods. This is your time to let go of your routine, so you might as well leave all that stuff at home.
